Newborn Photography - Buckinghamshire
It was so exciting to hear from Jitka & Jules after the birth of their beautiful little girl, J. It seemed like a lifetime ago when we they were walking hand in hand in the last of the warm evening sunshine during their maternity photo shoot. So when Jitka was back in touch, I was super excited to head over to Buckinghamshire as their newborn photographer.
Their little girl was born at a very similar time of year to my daughter and it brought back so many memories of being snuggled up all together in those first few weeks, while it was ice cold outside, the prospect of a first family Christmas just around the corner.
Jitka's mum was staying to help for a while and J was snoozing in her Grandmother's arms when I arrived. Like me, not even a giving birth would stop me from putting up my Christmas tree, and the Christmas tree and stylish Christmas decorations were up around their house making it feel very festive.
It was very important to Jitka to include her mum in the family photoshoot as well, representing three generations of their family. Everyone understandably focuses on capturing the emotions of new parents, but it was special to capture the emotion of J's grandmother, for whom it was clearly a very special and emotional time watching her own daughter become a mother.
