At home lifestyle newborn shoot in Surrey
It was so lovely to shoot this family. Mum and Dad were so super calm and clearly enjoying parenthood. Their 4 week old baby daughter was already awake when I arrived and super chill, although Mum did suspect that she was having a cluster feeding day as she wasn't interested in sleeping and just wanted to feed.
We started off with some posed shots as she was awake. Their house had a lovely light and airy extension which provided some perfect lighting conditions. I am a natural light photographer which means I don't generally use flash photography. It soon became clear she didn't want to miss out on what was going on and we had some great eyes open poses although it meant not so many of the sleepy cuddled up poses.
